Roma's Maarten Stekelenburg will return to Italy after pulling out of the Dutch international squad.
The former Ajax man was included in the Holland set-up for their final Euro 2012 qualifiers despite concerns over his fitness.
However, after his physical condition was assessed, he's been released from duty and will continue his rehabilitation with Giallorossi medics in the Italian capital.
Stekelenburg hasn't played a competitive minute since picking up a nasty head injury in a clash with Inter defender Lucio on September 17.
The Dutch No 1 is expected to be replaced by Michel Vorm of Swansea for the games against Moldova and Sweden.
