Juve Stabia's Serie B campaign has been complicated by a five-point penalty for alleged match-fixing.
The Second Division side were handed the deduction on Tuesday following an investigation into a 1-0 win in a Serie C1 game against Sorrento back in 2009.
Sorrento, meanwhile, have been stripped of two points.
Juve Stabia chief Franco Manniello is expected to confirm that the outfit will appeal today's verdict.
Juve Stabia now move down from 12 points in the Second Division to just seven.
