“Napoli is a prison for Marek Hamsik, albeit a golden one,” blasted agent Mino Raiola. “Mario Balotelli misses Italy.”
It is well known that Milan and Inter made offers for Hamsik over the summer, but President Aurelio De Laurentiis refused to release him.
“I don't know if this will be Hamsik's last year at Napoli, but it is certainly a prison for him, albeit a golden one,” declared controversial agent Raiola on Radio Radio.
“I do not like players being held in a club against their will. I'm not just talking about Hamsik, but also Zlatan Ibrahimovic when he was at Barcelona.”
Raiola also represents Balotelli and reiterated his suggestion Napoli would do well to hand Ezequiel Lavezzi over to Manchester City in exchange.
“Balotelli never said he wanted to leave Manchester, but he has this huge feeling of nostalgia for Italy, so he misses his friends and family.
“In recent months things have been going very well in the Premier League, so nobody can criticise him for anything.
“A Lavezzi-Balotelli exchange? Lavezzi could certainly give City something more in the short-term, while Mario is a younger and stronger player.”
