Simone Perrotta prepares for tonight's Rome derby and believes Coach Luis Enrique “is the right man at the right time.”
Roma have had a dramatic summer with the arrival of American patron Thomas Di Benedetto and the former Barcelona B manager.
“Everything is completely new,” Perrotta told Sky Sport Italia. “Many things have changed in the staff, the directors and many players too.
“It's all very exciting, as you can sense a new atmosphere in the air. We're trying to construct something important that can bring a brilliant future to the club. There are many youngsters here and we want to grow together.”
This will be Luis Enrique's first Derby della Capitale, as he faces Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico tonight.
“I think he's the right man at the right time,” continued Perrotta. “He is a young Coach with innovative ideas, but we've got to give him time, as his methods require patience and players who suit the project.
“We had a difficult start, but now things are starting to go the right way.”
