Di Carlo: 'Absurd' disallowed goal

Domenico Di Carlo feels Chievo deserved a win against Juventus. “It was absurd to disallow our goal.”

Cyril Thereau hit the back of the net in the first half, but play was halted for a slight push on Andrea Pirlo.

“That was absolutely not a foul. It was absurd to disallow our goal,” blasted the Coach after a 0-0 draw.

“We had prepared our training during the week precisely aimed at pressuring Pirlo. As for penalty appeals, at times you can give them, at others you can't, such as Leonardo Bonucci's shirt-tug on Davide Mandelli.

“It was a difficult game and we held out well against a Juventus side with great determination.

“During the match we were forced into two substitutions, so I couldn't change the strikers.”
