Javier Zanetti was certainly impressed by Lille star Eden Hazard. “I know the club is tracking him and he's on Inter's level.”
The captain played against Hazard on Tuesday evening in the Champions League, when the Nerazzurri emerged 1-0 winners in France.
“He is a player that I like a lot and I know the club is tracking him,” Zanetti told RMC.
“In my view, he is on the right level to continue his career at Inter.”
It is certainly not the first time that the young Belgian has been linked with a move to San Siro, though Juventus and Milan are also tracking Hazard.
Zanetti was asked to give his opinion on fellow Argentine Javier Pastore, who is impressing at Paris Saint-Germain.
“Pastore is a great player who proved it in Italy and is doing the same at PSG. I hope he can achieve what Zinedine Zidane did and maybe even win the Ballon d'Or.
“I have known Leonardo for almost 12 years. He is a very intelligent man with clear ideas, so I am certain he'll have success in Paris.”
Ex-Inter Coach Leonardo is now the director general at Paris Saint-Germain.
