Eusebio Di Francesco tells Lecce they can maintain their taboo status for Milan “if we work twice as hard as them.”
The Rossoneri have not conquered the Stadio Via del Mare since Jose Mari's only goal in January 2002.
“Milan are a great side and it will be difficult to deal with the push from their full-backs and runs from midfield,” said the Coach.
“As for us, we have to play very tight and limit Milan's capability when in possession. During the week we have worked on details, which can make the difference in a game like this.
“In order to do well against Milan, we've got to bring out something more from ourselves in terms of physicality, determination and tempo. Basically, we need to work twice as hard as them.
“The draw away to Genoa was an improvement and showed we're on the right track, but we can still do better.”
David Di Michele, Julio Sergio, Stefano Ferrario and Souleymane Diamoutene are among the absentees for Lecce.
