Tesser: 'We don't fear Udinese'

Novara are having problems, but Attilio Tesser assures they “will face Udinese with open and attacking football.”

The newly-promoted side have beaten Inter this season, but amassed one point from their last three games.

“We cannot afford to defend and go on the counter-attack, as it is not in our nature,” said the Coach as Novara go into the Stadio Friuli against the joint Serie A leaders.

“We will face Udinese with open and attacking football, so won't change our approach to the spot.

“Udinese are strong, we're aware of that, and they set the example for the more provincial clubs like ourselves. We can only cause them problems if we play without fear and attack them.

“It's not as if we ignore the defensive part of the game, but we do always try to play the ball and push forward.”

Novara have an injury crisis, as Samir Ujkani, Andrea Lisuzzo and Carlo Alberto Ludi are out, while Luigi Giorgi and Giuseppe Gemiti are in doubt.

Goalkeeper Ujkani is ruled out after he lost four teeth and fractured his nose in an accidental collision with a teammate in the 2-0 defeat to Bologna.
