Milan want revival to continue

Massimiliano Allegri has set his Milan side an immediate task. "I want us to be favourites for the Scudetto again."

The reigning champions were widely tipped to dominate Serie A this season, but they won just one of their first five games.

Nevertheless, the Rossoneri seem to be getting back on the right track after consecutive wins against Palermo and Lecce.

"The League table will start to break up over the next two rounds," the Italian tactician noted on Tuesday afternoon.

"We have to be in an excellent League position before the November break and we need to wrap up Champions League qualification as soon as possible.

"The championship is very balanced. I thought that we could catch up with the teams in front and we just have to continue on this road.

"We have an important objective and that is to return to being favourites for the title."

The San Siro giants won 4-3 on Sunday at Lecce, but only after they went in at half-time 3-0 down.

"At the interval I just told the boys that they had to put the first half to one side and that they had 50 minutes to play at 1,000mph and to play like Milan.

"We showed great character and it was a sign of our strength, but let's hope that was just a blip. It's obvious that we have to concede less goals, but the important thing was to win the game."

Parma are their next opponents when the Stadio Tardini outfit arrive to take on Milan tomorrow night.

"Parma didn't deserve to lose on Sunday against Atalanta," the tactician added.

"They played well at Napoli too, whereas their only bad match was at Juventus. They have a lot of quality and they never stop running. It'll be a difficult game.

"My line-up? Thiago Silva should make it, but we'll have to see about Alessandro Nesta. Robinho or Antonio Cassano will play in attack, while I will probably rest Mark Van Bommel."
