Morgan De Sanctis of Napoli is presently the best goalkeeper in Italian football, his representative has claimed.
"Right now, out of all the Italian 'keepers, De Sanctis is the one who offers the most security," Andrea Pastorello told Radio CRC.
"Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon is still a great champion, but Morgan is the most in-form of the championship.
"He's a symbol of strength for this Napoli side because it's important to score goals, but it's also very important to stop them.
"A shot saved is worth a goal scored."
De Sanctis, now 34, was rewarded for his performances this season with a substitute appearance in Italy's recent Euro 2012 win against Northern Ireland.
"His international call up was more than deserved when you consider how important he's been recently," Pastorello added.
The former Juve and Pescara net-minder will be in action tonight when Udinese arrive at the Stadio San Paolo.
