Maicon targets Inter revival

Inter will be going for victory against Juventus when the two teams meet on Saturday, says Douglas Maicon.

The Nerazzurri have had a tough start to the campaign after picking up just eight points from eight games, but the Brazilian wants to get back towards the top of the table.

"It will be tough against Juventus," the right-back noted. "But we'll do our best to get the three points in order to start closing the gap with the leaders."

The Bianconeri moved to the top of the standings this week with a win over Fiorentina, while Inter drew 1-1 at Atalanta last night.

"I'm happy with how we all played against Atalanta and we must keep it up," the former Monaco man added.

"We played with our hearts and that's how we'll get Inter back up near the top of the table again. It's just a shame we only got a point today.

"We were having a great first half and then unfortunately they got a goal. But after the restart we responded well.

"Now we must immediately turn our attention to Saturday and Juventus…"
