'Giampaolo is a great Coach'

Cesena midfielder Antonio Candreva has given his public backing to under-pressure boss Marco Giampaolo.

The tactician's future at the Manuzzi is in doubt after a slow start to the season which has seen them collect just three draws and five losses from their eight League games.

Cesena are bottom of the League and whispers suggest that Giampaolo could soon be axed, but Candreva thinks that would be a mistake.

"I believe that Giampaolo is a great Coach," the former Juventus and Parma player stated. "We have to continue following his ideas."

Cesena were in action last night, but they could only manage a 1-1 draw at home to high-flying Cagliari.

"It's horrible to work so hard and then not be rewarded with the right results," added the Italian international.

"We have to continue working though and stay united ahead of our next game on Sunday against Parma."
