Devis Mangia has blamed a tough run of away fixtures as responsible for his Palermo side's poor form on the road.
A 1-0 defeat to Udinese on Sunday confirmed the team's fourth away defeat from five under Mangia.
The young Coach, however, was defensive of his players' performance and suggested the fixture list that has seen them play at the Stadio Olimpico twice and at San Siro has been influential.
"We have had complicated trips. Milan, Roma and now Udinese. There is still a lack of precision and malice [from the players].
"Unfortunately that was it, I'm sorry for the players. We made a mistake in the build-up to the goal but then the team created conditions to be dangerous [to Udinese].
"Sure we could also have conceded a second goal after half-time but we did some good things. I'm sorry for the players because everything could become a burden.
"But luckily the next trip is easy…"
That last comment was a joke in reference to the team's next away match, at Juventus, with consideration to the fact that the Bianconeri are currently undefeated at their new stadium.
