Pietro Lo Monaco has branded Napoli Coach Walter Mazzarri the 'poor man's Jose Mourinho' in reaction to the Coach's recent criticism of refereeing.
After watching his 10-man Partenopei side fall to a 2-1 defeat to Catania, Mazzarri suggested in the post-match Press conference that the refereeing had affected the result. Mario Santana was dismissed for two bookable offences.
Coupled with the Coach's comments that the Rossazzurri did not deserve even a draw from Saturday evening's game, Lo Monaco has come out in sharp criticism of the 50-year-old.
"His recognition does not interest me. Mazzarri continues to speak in reference to the match officials and I do not like it because I cannot think that a referee would favour a small team like Catania.
"Mazzarri is the poor man's Mourinho. Catania won deservedly. Napoli are not the only team to have lost at the Massimino, because our players always raise their game at home."
