Torino have distanced themselves from reports linking them with Palermo playmaker Fabio Liverani.
The Serie B side have been associated with a January move for the veteran given his lack of playing time at the Barbera this term.
However, Torino sporting director Gianluca Petrachi has argued that the Serie B club are not preparing a bid for the former Italian international.
"The rumours are just not true," he stated. "There is no interest in him.
"I have played alongside Liverani at Perugia, I admire him and he is an important player, but his characteristics wouldn't suit our tactics.
"Liverani is a player who is used to playing in a three-man midfield, whereas we play with two holding midfielders.
"It's not a matter of money, but tactics. If we played in another way then he is one of those players who I would go out and buy tomorrow morning."
