Juventus striker and World Cup winner Luca Toni has been banned from driving after he failed an alcohol breath test.
The centre-forward, who has yet to play in Serie A this term under new boss Antonio Conte, was found to have an alcohol content of 0.6 g/L – the legal limit in Italy being 0.5 g/L.
Toni, who was tested outside a restaurant in Modena, was fined and has had his licence suspended for three months.
Toni joined Juventus in January 2010 from Genoa, but there are reports that he will leave the Turin outfit after Christmas once the winter transfer window opens.
