Diego Milito hopes tonight's goal against Lille has broken his drought, especially after missing another sitter.
The striker was downhearted in this evening's 2-1 victory when he somehow ballooned over an open goal from close range, but got back on his feet to score the second.
“I really, honestly hope this bad period has passed with this goal and that I have broken through,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“Unfortunately sometimes strikers do go through these moments. I've also been unlucky, hitting the bar in the first couple of minutes.
“You have to learn how to stay calm, not lose your head and don't let the anxiety get to you, as it can play nasty tricks. I always tried to give my absolute best.
“After Saturday's defeat to Juventus, we really needed this win and above all the three points that allow us to be pretty safe in the Champions League.”
CSKA Moscow and Trabzonspor drew 0-0, so Inter are now four points clear at the top of Group B thanks to three consecutive wins.
