Roberto Baggio's representative has wasted no time in rejecting links between his client and Internazionale.
Reports in Italy on Thursday were suggesting that Inter chief Massimo Moratti was considering appointing the legendary Italian as Coach for the 2012-13 campaign.
The stories even suggested that the two men had already held face-to-face discussions about the possibility.
"There was no meeting between Baggio and Inter President Moratti," Vittorio Petrone, Baggio's agent, stated when asked about the rumours.
"These reports are not true and risk disturbing the hard work which Baggio is doing as the President of the Italian Football Federation's technical sector.
"Also, what has been published could complicate the work of current Inter Coach Claudio Ranieri."
Baggio, who retired as a player in the summer of 2004, is currently studying to net his coaching badges at Coverciano.
Ranieri is contracted to Inter until June 2013.
