Alexandre Pato has confirmed he is recovered from injury, but won't be playing for Milan until after the international break.
Pato has missed the last few weeks of action with a thigh strain, but where he confirmed on Thursday of his return to fitness, the Brazilian has stated that Sunday's clash with Catania has come too soon.
"When I was hurt I also spoke with the doctor of the Brazilian national team and he confirmed this injury would need four to six weeks.
"Six weeks have just passed, I am ready, but it is impossible to play against Catania because I have not trained with the team. I will be back after the [international] break."
Pato denied that the San Siro pitch was to blame for his continued problems and confirmed that he is determined to maintain his fitness when he returns.
"I have to work much more on the hamstrings with exercises in the gym and on sand. I do not know if I'll get more injuries but I will try to play as many games as possible.
"After each injury I come back even stronger because it is hard to go to the stadium to watch the team from the stands."
