Stephan El Shaarawy's agent feels Milan already have the man to fill in for Antonio Cassano. “It's a great opportunity for him.”
The ‘Little Pharaoh' was expected to go out on loan in January after failing to earn much playing time at San Siro since his move from Genoa.
However, with Cassano out for at least six months due to heart surgery, Coach Massimiliano Allegri could well turn to El Shaarawy.
“This is the right moment for Stephan. He has to prove he is ready in training and show the Coach he can be used in Serie A,” agent Roberto La Florio told Itasportpress.
“El Shaarawy has the tricks and the quality to play in Milan's starting XI during this difficult time. He is talented, but also lucky, seeing as he scored on his debut.
“It is an important opportunity for him and he mustn't let it get away. After all, the club has faith in him and the reports he'll be loaned out in January do not seem accurate to me. No Milan director has ever told me he'll leave mid-season.
“It's a shame for Cassano, of course, but this does open up an interesting avenue for Stephan and he has to make the most of it.”
El Shaarawy and Pippo Inzaghi were left off the UEFA list, so cannot take part in the Champions League until February.
