Palermo will underline their faith in boss Devis Mangia by handing him a new improved contract at the Stadio Barbera.
Mangia was promoted to the first team from the Primavera set-up during pre-season after Stefano Pioli was axed.
Performances have been mixed so far which have raised doubts about his future and there were fears of a split after Sean Sogliano quit the club this week.
Sporting director Sogliano was the man responsible for taking Mangia with him to Sicily after they worked together at Varese last term.
It's understood that Mangia will tie himself to the Rosanero outfit until June 2013.
