Schelotto ready for a big club

The agent of Matias Ezequiel Schelotto has reacted to the transfer rumours surrounding his client. “It’s all just talk – for now…”

The Atalanta player has been paired with Roma in recent weeks and links with Inter have now emerged.

“At the moment I’m not aware of any contact, but I wouldn’t know if the clubs have spoken to each other,” Gerry Piccolillo told TMW.

“Nevertheless, Matias just wants to do well in the Atalanta shirt at this present time. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.”

Schelotto has made a sensational start to the season and there is talk that the Argentine-born right-sided player could soon break into the Italian international set up.

“I think he’s ready to join a big club,” added Piccolillo. “And there has been talk of Roma and other interested clubs too.

“However, I think that all of the voices are just newspaper talk – for now…”

Schelotto, who played for Cesena and Catania last term, can be used in defence or midfield.
