Bojan Krkic concedes that he’s unlikely to realise his dream of winning the Scudetto at Roma this season.
The Spaniard joined the Giallorossi in the summer from Barcelona as part of some significant changes at the capital club.
“We want to win the title,” he stated on Thursday. “However, at the moment, the best we can target is a place in the Champions League or the Europa League.”
Roma were bought by an American consortium over the summer which led to the arrival of new faces at director, coaching and squad level.
Luis Enrique was appointed as the new Coach with the task of changing the way the team played football in Serie A.
However, results have been inconsistent so far given that they have collected just 14 points from the 30 on offer since the start of the campaign.
“The squad has everything that it needs to do well,” added the young forward who scored in the 2-0 win at Novara last weekend.
“We shouldn’t create a drama when we lose and we shouldn’t talk of the Scudetto when we win…
“There is the possibility to have a great season. There is a beautiful project here and I want to prove that I can become an important player.
“I’m really happy,” he added. “I’m at a big club and we are doing well. We haven’t been inferior to any of the sides that we have played this term.”
The Giallorossi now play a possession brand of football which has seen them likened to Bojan’s previous outfit.
“I think it is wrong to compare us to Barcelona. We have our own style and we look to transform the Coach’s footballing philosophy on to the pitch. By doing that we’ll be able to aim high.”
Roma are seven points behind co-leaders Udinese and Lazio in Serie A.
