Dejan Stankovic is convinced that Inter will soon find themselves towards the top of the Serie A League table.
The Nerazzurri, who have won five of the last six Scudetti, incredibly find themselves in 17th place at the moment – level on points with little Novara.
Nevertheless, the Serbian midfielder is optimistic that the club’s struggles will come to an end in the near future.
“Inter will soon rewrite the League table,” the former Lazio player told Sky Sport Italia on Thursday afternoon.
“You’ll see a new Inter over the next few games, a side that will climb the standings...”
Inter have had a tough start to the campaign and their difficulties saw Gian Piero Gasperini replaced by Claudio Ranieri in September.
“Ranieri is doing an excellent job, but I am noting that the fans are increasing their support for us too and that is very important.”
Stankovic, 33, has played in six Serie A games so far this term, but he hasn’t managed to make the kind of impact he would like – especially in front of goal.
“I’m convinced that I’ll soon start scoring again and my goals will be of great use to Inter.”
Stankovic netted five in 26 Serie A games for the Beneamata last term.
