Stevan Jovetic is at risk for Saturday’s clash with Milan after Fiorentina confirmed a “muscular lesion” at the hip.
The player returned from international duty with Montenegro suffering from a pain at the top of his thigh.
The official Viola website announced this afternoon that tests had discovered “a small muscular lesion” at the hip.
Jovetic has immediately gone into treatment and his condition will be monitored day by day with the hope of recovery in time to face Milan.
That game will be the official debut on the Fiorentina bench of Coach Delio Rossi after Sinisa Mihajlovic was fired last week.
