Francesco Guidolin concedes he is “disappointed and bitter” after Udinese’s poor performance in Parma.
They had the opportunity to not only keep hold of the Serie A leadership, but go clear at the top.
“The difference was in humility, which is the fundamental quality for every team and man,” said Guidolin after the 2-0 defeat.
“Parma did well to remain humble. It was clear this game would be decided by individual incidents, but I am disappointed and bitter, as I thought I’d see my team with a different attitude.
“With performances like this, Udinese cannot fight for the top six places. The leading teams do not play like this.
“I’ve said from the start we are different to last season. We have to aim low, because this is a dangerous campaign for everyone. If you think outside your real dimension, you’re in trouble.”
