Torino have insisted that star defender Angelo Ogbonna will remain at the club until at least June 2013.
The new Italian international is one of the club’s most prized assets and was targeted by numerous top-flight sides in the summer.
His name is still being associated with a move away from the Serie B club, but the Granata are trying to tighten their grip on him.
“The last thing on my mind right now is the transfer market,” said Torino President Urbano Cairo on Friday.
“I’ve turned down a lot of money to keep Angelo here and I’ll assure you that he’ll be here until at least 2013.
“Actually, we’re presently talking to his agent about an extension to his contract.”
Ogbonna, a product of the club’s youth system, has 18 months left on his current agreement in Turin.
