Colomba respects Novara

Franco Colomba warns Parma not to consider a trip to struggling Novara “any easier than the other games.”

The Ducali are fresh from shocking leaders Udinese 2-0, so their confidence is sky high against a team that has not won in two months.

“We will encounter the usual problems typical of a Serie A match away from home against a very motivated opponent,” said the Coach.

“We must not think about their troubles, because every encounter has to be faced the same way. We mustn’t dare think this is any easier than the other games, because there is no such thing as an easy match in Serie A.”

Parma also have to deal with the artificial pitch at the Stadio Silvio Piola.

“It doesn’t have the same elasticity as natural turf. The way the ball slows and bounces will be different, but we mustn’t make it seem like an insurmountable problem. Everyone else has played here and so must we.”

Parma make the trip for the 17.00 UK time Saturday kick-off without Sergio Floccari, Massimo Gobbi, Francesco Modesto and Jaime Valdes.
