Inter won’t bring in Tevez

Inter will not be a January transfer option for Carlos Tevez of Manchester City, the Italian club have suggested.

Nerazzurri boss Claudio Ranieri recently claimed that the struggling outfit were ready to bring in new faces after Christmas.

However, President Massimo Moratti has seemingly closed the door on the Argentine international striker.

“I can exclude a big signing in January,” the San Siro chief told the Gazzetta dello Sport on Wednesday morning.

“The Financial Fair Play rules will be in the minds of everyone. Saying that, I am aware that I have responsibilities as the President and a fan of this team.”

Tevez, linked with a Serie A switch, is looking for a new club after falling out of favour with City boss Roberto Mancini.

Juventus have also ruled out a bid for the South American, leaving Milan as the only Italian option for the former West Ham and Manchester United man.

Milan, though, have made it clear that Tevez will only arrive if City agree to a free loan move with an option to buy clause at the end of the campaign.
