Manuel Pasqual has warned his Fiorentina teammates “this is not the time to be causing trouble” after they were fined for excessive partying.
Alessio Cerci and Andrea Lazzari were punished after they were caught in a nightclub at 3am following their Coppa Italia game against Empoli.
“This is not the time to be causing trouble. I am convinced that those who did step over the line will take responsibility,” said Pasqual.
“I certainly cannot get into their heads, but in the past we used to be able to solve these issues. The club is not happy and young players should take those who rarely go out as an example.
“Now we need unity and everyone has to be pushing in the same direction.”
The Viola face Roma on Sunday, who will be without ex-Fiorentina striker Pablo Daniel Osvaldo after he punched teammate Erik Lamela.
“It has to be said, Roma aren’t doing much better than we are in terms of controversy this week...
“The Giallorossi have great quality and we cannot afford to lose more points. Osvaldo has a bit of an unusual character, but it’s still better for us that he won’t be there.”
