Friulani to 'sweat against Celtic'

Antonio Floro Flores regrets missing a great chance in Rennes, so Udinese “will have to sweat against Celtic.”

The 0-0 draw in France this evening means the Friulani will qualify for the next round of the Europa League as long as they earn at least a point at home to Celtic in a fortnight.

“Even if we deserved to pick up the three points, this 0-0 remains a good result,” said Floro Flores.

He hit the woodwork in the opening minutes, while Mehdi Benatia also thumped the frame of the goal.

“I am very disappointed at failing to score that early chance, but luck was not kind. Lately I am hitting a few too many uprights. I pushed for the goal to the very end and wanted to score at all costs.

“Now we’ve got to reach the final game, the decisive one, with the right approach. It would’ve been nice to return from France with qualification in our pockets, but instead we’ll have to sweat against Celtic.”
