Don’t expect Fiorentina to sell Riccardo Montolivo during the January transfer window, says his agent.
Next month represents the Viola’s last chance to net a transfer fee for the midfielder seeing as he’ll be available on a Bosman free at the end of the campaign.
Milan and Juventus have been paired with the Italian international recently, but Giovanni Branchini doesn’t think a switch is imminent.
“Fiorentina have said that he is unsellable, so I really don’t think he will leave in January,” the representative told Sky Sport Italia.
“Riccardo also intends to stay until June and that desire has to be respected.
“At the moment, there is nothing happening and there are no options. The transfer speculation is just media talk.”
Montolivo, 26, is a product of the Atalanta youth system. He’s been in Tuscany since his 2005 switch from the Bergamo outfit.
