Alessandro Del Piero will stay in hospital overnight for observation after he was accidentally kicked in the head.
The Juventus man had only been on the field for nine minutes when he clashed with Cesena defender Marco Rossi this afternoon.
He was stretchered off bleeding from the left temple and had eight stitches put in by the medical staff.
Del Piero underwent hospital tests and was given the all-clear, but Juve announced he’ll be kept in overnight for observation.
The veteran has head trauma, but no concussion, so he is set to be released tomorrow morning after another test.
