Novara boss Atillio Tesser has labelled last night’s defeat to Lazio as their poorest performance of the campaign.
“It was our worst display of the season,” the tactician noted. “You pay the price for being scared when taking on the big teams.
“I have to say that it was the first match this term that we went into a game with the wrong mentality,” he added.
“We took a backwards step and that was disappointing because I thought we had got past the period of allowing tension to affect us.”
Goals from Giuseppe Biava and Tommaso Rocchi, two, gave the capital club a comfortable 3-0 victory in Rome.
Novara remain in the relegation zone – four points adrift of Siena, Inter and Bologna.
