New Coach Serse Cosmi is fired up for his Lecce debut against Lazio and warns “we can upset the odds.”
The tactician took over from Eusebio Di Francesco last weekend, as the team are propping up the table with two wins, two draws and nine defeats.
“My desire to coach surpassed everything else and now I have the opportunity to achieve something remarkable with the club, the people and the players of Lecce,” he told Radio CRC.
“The table says we’re falling behind, but the team that I inherited has the potential to upset the odds.
“I am confident, taking into account the potential within the squad and that crucial component called good fortune that we have been lacking so far.”
It is a particularly special fixture for Cosmi, who is a lifelong Roma supporter.
