Dejan Stankovic points out this is “not just an important victory for Rafa Benitez, but for all of Inter.”
The midfielder scored the opening goal in today's Club World Cup semi-final against Seongnam, breaking the deadlock after 120 seconds.
“We immediately took the lead and so had the opportunity to control the match,” he said of the 3-0 result.
“We held possession and hit Seongnam on the counter-attack. It's a deserved Final and not just an important victory for Benitez, but for all of Inter.”
Wesley Sneijder will probably not recover in time for Saturday's Final against Mazembe, as he limped off with a muscular problem in the opening minute.
“It was so unlucky, he didn't even get to play for 60 seconds!” continued Stankovic.
“As for Diego Milito, with him on the field we can all take advantage of the space that he creates.”
