Cesare Prandelli wishes Antonio Cassano the best for 2012. “He has matured a great deal and is convinced we’ll do well in the Euros.”
It remains to be seen whether Cassano will be able to take part in the European Championship, as he is recovering from a mini-stroke and surgery on a congenital heart defect.
“I hope he can experience this magical Christmas time with his son and wife to recharge his batteries,” Italy Coach Prandelli told Sky Sport Italia.
“Paradoxically, he is the one reassuring us. He has matured a great deal and is convinced we’ll do well in the Euros. He’s relaxed and convinced of our potential.”
Prandelli was also asked about the Scudetto race, as Milan, Juventus, Udinese and Lazio are still in the running for the title of Winter Champions.
“Are only Milan and Juve up for the Scudetto? No, for example Udinese are confirming their great consistency.”
