Relegation candidates Lecce are one of a number of clubs pursuing striker Libor Kozak to bolster their attack and finding a reluctant Lazio sitting in the way.
The Salentini are the latest side in and around the lower echelons of Serie A suggested to be currently tracking the tall 22-year-old uncapped Czech striker. The likes of Bologna, Cesena and Novara, as well as Serie B’s Sampdoria, have all been linked with the footballer who has struggled this season for first-team football under Edy Reja.
From the first 16 rounds of the season, Kozak has managed four substitute appearances and only one of those permitted the forward more than seven minutes on the pitch.
Whilst other reports believe that Juventus are happy to listen to offers from Serse Cosmi’s men for Vincenzo Iaquinta, Giallorosso sporting director Carlo Osti is reportedly keen on Kozak instead.
La Gazzetta dello Sport understand that Osti has already had one attempt to capture Kozak this winter transfer window rejected by Lazio President Claudio Lotito.
That rejection follows Aquile sporting director Igli Tare’s words just three days ago that despite acknowledging Kozak is growing frustrated, described the possibility of the 6ft4 forward leaving on loan in January as ‘difficult’.
