Daniele Dessena of Sampdoria could be one of three new faces who arrive at Cagliari during the month of January.
The Sardinian outfit have made it clear that they will strengthen in every department and Dessena should be their midfield reinforcement.
According to stories in Italy on Wednesday, the former Italian Under-21 international will join the Rossoblu on loan for the rest of the season.
As part of the deal with the Serie B club, Cagliari will also have the option to buy him outright in the summer of 2012.
Dessena, who grew up in the Parma youth sector, actually spent the 2009-10 season at Cagliari as part of a co-ownership deal with Doria.
Sampdoria bought him outright in June 2010.
