Stevan Jovetic says he’s happy to stay at Fiorentina despite the club’s difficulties so far during the 2011-12 campaign.
The Viola currently find themselves in 14th place – just six points above the relegation zone after 16 games.
Nevertheless, Jovetic’s fine form has been a positive for the Viola after he missed all of last season with injury.
“I’m happy and I was convinced that I would return stronger than I was before,” the Montenegrin told Sky Sport Italia.
“The fans love me here and I’m content.”
Fiorentina’s difficulties forced the club into a change of Coach earlier this season when Sinisa Mihajlovic was replaced by Delio Rossi.
“It wasn’t Mihajlovic’s fault,” Jovetic added. “The injuries affected his stint here and we haven’t had a lot of time with Rossi yet.
“Our objective is to qualify for Europe,” he continued. “It won’t be easy though as we are some way off at the moment.”
