Serie A side Parma could boost their defence over the next few days with the capture of Matteo Ferrari.
The 32-year-old is available on a free transfer after he rescinded his contract at Turkish club Besiktas over the summer.
The former Italian international, according to TMW, has been targeted by Gialloblu sporting director Pietro Leonardi.
Ferrari has already spent time at the Stadio Tardini during his career where he caught the eye between 2001 and 2004.
The centre-back has played for numerous clubs down the years, including Inter, Genoa, Everton and Roma.
