Serie A side Palermo have done a deal to sign Uruguayan international Arevalo Rios next month.

Rios, 29, is a defensive midfielder who will join the Italian side from Mexican outfit Club Tijuana.

The 2011 Copa America winner has also played for Danubio, Penarol and Botafogo in recent seasons.

It is being claimed that the Rosanero will pay €3.5m for the player.
