Federico Marchetti should be fit enough to return to action for Lazio when Serie A resumes this weekend.
The influential Lazio man has been sidelined since he picked up a muscle problem in the Week 15 game at Lecce.
The 2010 Italian World Cup ‘keeper underwent tests at the Paideia clinic in Rome this morning where he was given the all clear.
“I’m fine,” he told La Lazio Siamo Noi. “It was just a check-up. I trained without any problems yesterday so all is OK.”
Marchetti, signed in the summer from Cagliari, has been in splendid form for the Biancocelesti this term and is now available to face Siena.
Lazio do have doubts over midfielder Hernanes, though, who also underwent some medical checks earlier today.
“Will I play at Siena? We’ll see,” the Brazilian international stated.
