Catania confirm their interest in Brazilian defender Ilsinho and it’s reported he’ll complete the move from Internacional on Tuesday.
This week reports emerged that the Sicilians were in advanced negotiations for a very audacious swoop.
The 26-year-old has won the UEFA Cup with Shakhtar Donetsk before returning to his homeland with Sao Paolo, then Internacional in September 2011.
According to TMW, director Pietro Lo Monaco has agreed a transfer and the player will sign on Tuesday.
“Ilsinho is a player that I like,” said Catania Coach Vincenzo Montella today. “He is very technical, fast, likes to dribble and can finish off moves.
“He is a complete player, but seeing as he is not part of our squad yet, it is premature to talk about him.”
