Sannino: 'Lazio made it easy'

Giuseppe Sannino warns Siena not to get ahead of themselves after demolishing Lazio, “as they made life a little too easy for us.”

The Tuscans had failed to score for the last five games, but thumped the high-flying Biancocelesti 4-0 this afternoon.

“We have made a step forward towards safety, albeit remaining in a delicate zone of the table,” said the Siena Coach.

“Perhaps they weren’t ready after the winter break, as they made life a little too easy for us. It’s crucial for us to keep our feet on the ground after this victory.

“We had always put in positive performances and the only thing missing previously had been a goal. If we continue like this, we will fight to the last minute to stay in Serie A.”

Mattia Destro and Emanuele Calaiò bagged a brace, while Lazio had goalkeeper Albano Bizzarri sent off in first half stoppages.
