Bortolo Mutti introduces Palermo’s January signings and demands they “never show fear” against Napoli tonight.
The new Coach made his debut before Christmas with a 2-2 draw away to Novara and is the Rosanero’s third tactician of the campaign after Stefano Pioli and Devis Mangia.
“It is never easy returning from a break and unfortunately we were unable to work with the whole squad because many of them came back late from South America,” said Mutti.
“We hope to overcome these obstacles without too many problems and the team can play in a solid manner.”
January signings Franco Vazquez and Agon Mehmeti are included in the squad for tonight’s match, so they could make their Serie A debuts. There are even reports Vazquez could start in a 4-3-1-2 formation.
“He is an important player and in the last few days we fired him up over possibly playing against Napoli,” confirmed Mutti.
“I expect Palermo to be strong and never show fear, giving all it is possible to give on that field of play. Napoli are a great side, but we have no intention of being embarrassed. In fact, we want to make our mark.”
