Serie A side Palermo intend to keep hold of Mauricio Pinilla until at least the end of the present campaign.
The Chilean has been paired with a move to Fiorentina this month given their need for a new striker following Alberto Gilardino’s move to Fiorentina.
“There are no problems with Pinilla,” Rosanero President Maurizio Zamparini told Radio Bio Bio Chile. “He has never asked to leave Palermo in order to join a new club.
“He is our first choice striker and he is a great player.”
The international, 27, has scored just twice in 11 Serie A games this season. However, he’s only started six of those ties.
