Domenico Di Carlo praised Chievo’s attitude after they ended Udinese’s unbeaten home record to reach the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.
“It is incredibly difficult to get a result in Udine, but we are in good shape and played with the positive and efficient attitude I always want to see,” he said of their 2-1 win.
“I am very happy and Udinese remain a great side who force you to suffer to the very end. That is why beating them has even greater value.”
The only other team to have conquered the Stadio Friuli in all competition this season was Arsenal in August’s Champions League preliminary round.
“This victory makes us proud and gives us prestige, but at the same time we’ve got to stay humble and always try to play with this intensity. Chievo have quality and we proved it,” continued the Coach.
“Now we want to write a page in Chievo’s history books with regards to the Coppa Italia.”
