Lazio boss Edy Reja and captain Tommaso Rocchi have welcomed transfer links with Marco Parolo of Cesena.
The midfielder has been paired with a move to Rome this month, a possible acquisition which excites the Biancocelesti duo.
“We are monitoring the transfer market,” Reja noted. “I’ve told the President that I would like to see some strong players arriving.
“Parolo is a player who I greatly admire. We tried to sign him last year and he is one of the players who we are interested in.”
Parolo, 26, was a revelation in his first Serie A campaign last season. He was rewarded for his efforts with an Italian cap.
“Parolo is a good player,” Rocchi added when speaking to Sky Sport Italia. “Should he arrive then he would certainly strengthen the squad.
“I’m certain that the club will make the right moves on the transfer market.”
