Emiliano Viviano has expressed his satisfaction after Palermo wrapped up a deal to take him to the Stadio Barbera.
Rosanero chief Maurizio Zamparini has confirmed that the club have bought Genoa’s 50 per cent share in the player who will arrive from Inter in January.
“I’m very satisfied with the move,” the Italian international goalkeeper told the Giornale di Sicilia on Thursday.
“To play for Palermo is what I wanted. When this opportunity presented itself I immediately said yes.
“I can’t wait to start this new adventure. I’m coming from a difficult period and I want to take revenge.”
Viviano, signed by Inter from Bologna in the summer, hasn’t played this season after he picked up a knee injury in August which saw him sidelined for six months.
